Bonfire Grill & Pub
The Bonfire Grill, located in the Arrow Hotel lobby, is a great place to enjoy a meal or your favorite beverage.
"First of all, congratulations to RJ and his crew for coming up with this great business promotion. It’s fun for all customers! Mac ordered scallops and shrimp, beef stroganoff, a wedge salad with blue cheese dressing and blue cheese crumbles. I ordered a filet, asparagus, and mac’n cheese. According to Mac, his beef stroganoff and meal was outstanding. My filet was so tender it almost melted in my mouth. The asparagus (I don't know where he found that large of spears at this time of year) was delicious. The mac’n cheese was presented beautifully in an edible bowl. The presentation was remarkable. Hats off to the marvelous chef and the rest of the staff who made this a meal to remember, especially our waiter who made certain everything was perfect. They weren’t unable to have the key lime pie ready for dessert, so we are to pick up a whole key lime pie next week. Even better!"

"Ken and I would just to send a big THANK YOU for our Big Kahuna night. I had the wonderfully seasoned prime rib, baked potato, asparagus, and salad. Ken had the lobster, soaked in butter, also with baked potato, and mashed potatoes, asparagus. Then, as if we weren't full enough, we had to have dessert. He chose spiced carrot cake drizzled with caramel sauce, and mine was so good I forgot what it was. I guess I ate it too fast! Ken said, 'Great atmosphere, great food, great waiter. Big cities have nothing on Broken Bow!' I truly felt we were special and it made my day!"

"Winning the Big Kahuna is more than a treat—it is an event. Michelle and were truly given the red carpet treatment from the minute we walked in the door. As soon as we told Whitney we were there for our Big Kahuna meal, she made sure that everything was on your tab, RJ. I think if we'd been given any better treatment, RJ would have begged the IRS to claim a Big Kahuna deduction on his 2011 taxes just for our evening. Our meal was fantastic from start to finish. Afif outdid himself. The filet was delicious and our king crab legs were outstanding. The crème brule and cheesecake we had for dessert was a great way to finish off the meal. Thank you once again."

"Dustin and I claimed our Big Kahuna VIP dinner and we had Surf and Turf. We have NEVER had better food than what Afif made for us. Dustin had steak oscar along with the seafood pasta. The steak was cooked to perfection and piled high with lump crab meat, asparagus and topped with rich hollandaise sauce. The pasta was cooked in the most delightful cream sauce mixed with the perfect collaboration of treasures from the sea. I had a tomahawk ribeye steak and king crab legs. The ribeye was an out of this world experience; perfectly seasoned and cooked to just the right color of pink. The crab legs were bigger than a small dog, steamed to perfection and fit for a king. Dessert was wonderful as well. Dustin had orange cheesecake in a marmalade sauce, and I had a chocolate tort. It was so rich I couldn't eat it all. The service from all the staff was impeccable! Afif, R.J. and Anne (and everyone else involved), you have out done yourselves once again. Thank you so much for treating us to a wonderful experience. You treated us like royalty, and we truly felt like we were the most important people in the Arrow Hotel. We can't quit talking about being the "Big Kahuna" and the fun we had! Thanks you from the depths of our hearts! We will be back for sure!"

"I want to thank the Bonfire for the wonderful Big Kahuna dinner. I had Steak and Lobster and both were excellent, cooked perfectly. Gary had oysters on a half shell, shrimp and steak, (it was his Birthday celebration). He said it was excellent! We even had a piece of spice cake which was really good. Tell the chef that he did an outstanding job plus the display of the food on the plate was beautiful. Our friends that shared the night with us had good meals too. Thanks again for a wonderful night of good food and drinks. We really appreciate it. When we have friends from out of town the Bonfire is where we always take them. Thanks again!"

"Wayne and I enjoyed a delightful VIP supper at the Bonfire Gril! Wayne had lamb chops and reported them to be some of the best he's ever eaten. I had the stuffed fillet mignon and it was done just right. The grilled asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes and salad completed the meal. We had wonderful service... and great company at our table. Mom, Eileen Mc, and her friend, Pat, joined us and made for a great evening. I've attended the Big Kahuna only twice, and think that it's a great gathering. Thanks for the delightful meal and the wonderful entertainment."

"Thanks once again for an incredible evening at the Bonfire. Tristan and I really do enjoy eating slimey creatures, so we were looking forward to a meal that is usually served outside of pork country. Afif, Brad, Abby, and Josh went above and beyond to make sure that we had an evening to remember. The oysters rockefeller that Afif started us off with were fantastic, and we would have been happy if the night had ended there, but the best was yet to come. The plate of mussels and clams that followed, were excellent. It was like we were in a five star restaurant on the coast, not a cozy pub in the middle of Nebraska. The desserts were both great. The spiced cake and the creme brulee were the perfect endings to our meal. Thanks again for everything and helping us celebrate our 10 year anniversary. P.S. The oysters would be a great addition to the menu, right next to the Hawg wings."

"A Big Kahuna Thank You! Dwain and I did have dinner on you. It was more than OK; it was wonderful as usual! You know we eat out because we like food and I don't like to cook. We really enjoyed our ribeye steaks and shrimp scampy. The steaks were cooked just right and the shrimp was excellent. Dwain has really missed the sweet potatoes so he really enjoyed that, and dessert was wonderful. Our kids think we went over the edge by ordering an after dinner drink—decaf coffee! Afif, Brad, Keile and everyone at The Bonfire Grill made it a very enjoyable evening."

"The Kobe beef was excellent... it just about melts in your mouth. Thank you for the opportunity and the full meal. Donalee loved the King Crab. Our waiters and host took very good care of us. "I couldn’t help myself—beef prices were up, so I had to order the prime rib! Valarie went with the King Crab. Our night started at the bar with Brad and his crew taking care of us. Whitney must have thought we were hitting the refills of Crown too hard, so she quickly cleared a table to get us away from Brad (good training RJ). She and Afif made sure that everything was perfect for us. The 'Flintstone Cut' of prime rib was awesome it should be on the menu. The meat was prepared perfectly and the meal presentation was great. Valarie said her crab was some of the best she's had. Seconds on both were just as good as the first. You did one thing wrong... you took the expensive wine off the list before we got there, but the Mac's Creek was a great compliment to the meal. The term 'VIP Treatment' was exactly what we got from your staff at the Bonfire Grill. Thank you, RJ and crew, for a great evening!"

"Lori and I had a truly awesome meal Saturday night. For a pig man... you really know how to cook beef. From the appetizers thru the dessert, everything was above expectation. "My wife Brenda and I may not be royalty, but we sure felt like it when we received the "Royal Treatment" during my Big Kahuna evening. Since we are from North Dakota and only stay at the Arrow Hotel once a year during the SORC Race, we weren't quite sure what to expect. But as we learned... expect the unexpected because Chef Afif, RJ and Anna, Wes and Kathy and Brad and staff provided us an excellent experience. The Beef Wellington was absolutely fantastic, not just in taste but in presentation as well. The hospitality shown us and the service given us was '5 Star' to say the least... we were literally doted on!! Thank you for an unforgettable evening and then some! Our only regret is that we live so far away, because the Bonfire with Chef Afif's skills is definitely a place that we could enjoy again and again... Broken Bow, you are blessed to have it! And as for the Arrow Hotel, we have stayed there 7 out of the last 9 years during the SORC Race week and have seen lots of positive changes. Thank you for your commitment to Broken Bow and the traveling public in continuing to improve the accommodations... our car loved having a garage too!"

"We are so lucky to have a local restaurant that is different... and fantastic! The Bonfire offers wonderful menu items that range from an upscale take on comfort food basics to fine cuisine. The atmosphere is both intimate, as well as welcoming of larger family groups.

"Brad and I had a truly exceptional meal on Friday night! As always, the ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection and the crab legs were amazing! I did not know muddy creek crab legs would rival Alaska Kings, but now that I know I recommend they become a regular addition to the menu! "Rock and I would like to convey to you our utmost appreciation for our night out at the Bonfire. We had a good time and your wait staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The rib eye was cooked to perfection and the lobster was presented well. Our entire party of 10 were treated better than if they were at home. They don't often get what they want and usually have to get it themselves. We all had a wonderful time and the food was great. The Pork Tenderloin was a hit with our son.
