The Arrow Hotel was built in 1928 by a group of local businessmen and has been
in continuous operation as a prominent city gathering center. The hotel underwent
its first major renovation in 1986 when the 72 original rooms were converted
to 24 suites. In the spring of 2005, under new ownership, the first floor lobby,
restaurant and lounge were completely redone. The Arrow Hotel now features the
elegant taste of the ‘Old West’. We are proud to announce the opening
of a new restaurant, ‘the Bonfire’. Enjoy your meal in the dining
room, Pub, or the ‘turn of the century’ Cigar Room.
In 1986, the Arrow Hotel was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
An adjacent building is connected to the hotel by a corridor, creating a mini-mall
of commercial businesses and the China Garden restaurant.

A walk around the square offers a variety of stores and specialty shops for
your shopping pleasure. Enjoy the city square, park and gazebo year round. Beginning
in May, and until mid October, the square hosts a farmer’s market on Thursday’s
where you can find home grown fruits and vegetables as well as fresh baked goods
and such right out of someone’s kitchen. In December enjoy ‘Christmas
on the Square’, a special evening with the shops open late and serving
cider and cookies.
